Information on the processing of personal data

Our most important goal is your trust and we want you to feel safe not only in our stores but also trust us with your personal data.

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

We have made changes and continue to make changes in your personal data storage and processing and want you to know, that they are safe with us in accordance with our internal, national, and European Union data protection policies.

Personal data

In order to provide you with additional information about our offers, as well as that you could get special advantages in RITO stores, we are letting you know why and what type of personal data is necessary. All the personal data we collect only with your consent.

Necessary information, that ensures participation in the retail chain store RITO loyalty program by providing benefits:

1. Name – to identify the person participating in the loyalty program;
2. Mobile phone number for client identification – to identify the person participating in the loyalty program;
3. Mobile phone number for sending information – to send information about store product news, active promotions and offers, promoting products, participation in surveys;
4. Email address – to send information about store product news, active promotions and offers, promoting products, participation in surveys or receiving related articles;
5. City – to segment the loyalty program participants by city, providing information on offers in the specified store.

You can choose how you want to receive information - to the phone in the form of SMS or to e-mail, as well as you can specify both types of contacts (on the electronic registration platform).

In order to become a member of the Loyalty Program, it is mandatory to indicate at least one of the contact types for receiving information.

If you have any objections or cannot provide all the information, consult the vendors of the store or write to e-mail dati@arkolat.lv and we will help you.

Data correction

If you have provided inaccurate data or want to change the provided data, you can provide the updated information at any time:

1. in any RITO store by filling in the questioner. Before filling in the questioner the store vendor will identify you by calling or sending SMS to the indicated phone number. In case the phone number has changed to identify you need to be able to name the previous phone number;
2. by filling in the questioner in rito.lv data correction section;
3. by sending the relevant information in an email from the indicated email address to dati@arkolat.lv.

We provide data correction within five working days from the receipt of the application.

Data removal

If you want the data you provided to be deleted, choose one of the options:

1. in any RITO store by filling in the questioner. Before filling in the questioner the store vendor will identify you by calling or sending SMS to the indicated phone number.
2. filling in the questioner in rito.lv data correction section;
3. opting out from email newsletter – if there won’t be phone number indicated for receiving information, then you will be automatically removed from the loyalty program.
4. Sending request for data removal from the email indicated in the questioner to dati@arkolat.lv. We will contact you to make sure that you wish to remove data and if confirmed the data will be deleted.

The data will be deleted within 30 calendar days from the receipt of the application.

Upon receipt of the application, your data will not be processed further, except in cases when the law does not allow us to delete your data.

Data necessity

We process your personal data to:

1. identify you as RITO store loyalty program participant and grant the program's benefits and discounts;
2. send news about RITO stores – news, discounts, special offers, lottery etc. – emails no more than once a week, SMS – no more than twice a month;
3. invite you to participate in customer surveys;
4. invite to loyal customer events, presentations and master classes.

Data storage

Your personal data will be stored until the reorganization of Ltd. ARKOLAT or until the withdrawal of consent.

Disclosure of personal data

In order to fulfil our legal obligation, we may transfer your personal data to law enforcement authorities, as well as to state and local authorities at their request, in order to defend our legal interests by drawing up, submitting and defending legal claims.

Ltd. ARKOLAT reserves the right to transfer data to data processing operators with whom an agreement on personal data processing has been concluded.

Your rights

You have the right to request confirmation from us whether we process personal data relating to you and, in such cases, to request access to your personal data we process.

Objection to the processing of data on the basis of legal interest

You have the right to object to the processing of personal data which we process on the basis of our legal interests, but we will continue to process your data even if you object if we have compelling, motivating reasons to continue processing the data. To exercise the rights above, please go to any RITO store and fill out a statement of objections to the data processing. Before filling in the application, the vendor of the store will identify you by the indicated phone number by calling or sending an SMS to it.

We will review the objections and provide an answer within 30 calendar days.

Data transfer

You have the right to receive or transfer your personal data to another data controller. This right includes only the data you have provided to us on the basis of your consent or contract and if the processing is carried out automatically. To exercise the rights above, please go to any RITO store and fill out a statement of objections to the data processing. Before filling in the application, the vendor of the store will identify you by the indicated phone number by calling or sending an SMS to it.

We will ensure the transfer of data to another data controller within 30 calendar days.

Processing restriction

In certain circumstances, you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data. Please note that if you request that your data processing be restricted or stopped, it may affect your participation in the Ltd. ARKOLAT store chain RITO loyalty program. To exercise the above rights, please send a written application to e-mail dati@arkolat.lv.
